Default Has anyone ever seen Zender Wheels up close?

I've finally purchased the H&R sport springs and plan to install them the first week of January. Now I'm looking for new wheels. I like the Zender Monza wheel, but its very difficult to tell the quality from a web site.

Has anyone ever owned (or known anyone else who owns) a Zender wheel? Generally, is this a quality wheel?

Thanks for the opinion.

Default Zender is top notch quality... nothing goes out the door that isnt flawless...(more)

If I hadnt gotten the BBS LM's they were my second choice. If there's anything wrong or unacceptable about them when you open the boxes they come in, contact your shipper cuz indeed it was them and NOT Zender that caused it. Buy with confidence and know you're getting the best.

Default Rick, you finally ordered your wheels, so did I. I have a question for you (more)

I finally selected the OZ Volcano. The main reason: availability in Canada. My speedshop could order the Zender, but there was a 1.5 month delay for delivry, worst, if there was some problems with the wheels (scratches..) then there would be an other delay since he's not an offical Zender reseller

On the other hand, he is the main canadian distributor for OZ. He even had the wheels in hands... but my TT won't be here till march ;-(

You told me in your last e-mail that there was some problems lowering the TT with 235 tires. What size are you installing on your lowered TT.

If you goto to the following site

http://www.powerdog.com/tiresize.cgi

you will see that the 235/40 are smaller (in diameter) and that the 245/40 are almost the same diam as the 225/45. Is 245 to wide? Let me know what you're installing

You're lucky to get the Zender's, great looking wheels (hope mine will look as good...)

Default Not sure just yet....(more)

Hi fratte,

They couldn't be too specific on delivery. My guess is at least a month, but probably two.

I'm not sure if I can fit the 235/40's on the lowered TT. I need to do some homework in the next month or so. I think I've sold my OEM tires and wheels so the car will sit on blocks in my garage until I get the new wheels. I won't really drive it much in the winter anyway so I don't mind. I've had it for 7 months and it hasn't seen rain yet!

By the way, where can I see the OZ wheels you got and did you lower your TT?

Default Can someone give me feedback on THESE? (more)

1st, what do you guys think of the styling of this wheel as compared to the Monza? I think I like this one a bit better.

2nd, does the Audi TT have a 5/100 bolt pattern or a 5/112 bolt pattern?

3rd, are there any issues to be concerned about as far as maximum width of the wheels that will fit the TT? Will a 17" x 8.5" wheel be too wide?

Thanks in advance!! Merry Christmas! )

Default That's definitely a nice wheel...(more)

I like that one as well, but the TT on the autotech.com web site with the Zender Monza's sold me.

I was told the bolt hole pattern was 5/112. I was also told that the 17x8.5 was the proper wheel size for the TT. I'm really relying on a lot of 2nd hand info in my decisions so I hope all works out well. Right now I'm planning on installing 224/40 tires unless I can find someone else who has installed 235's or 245's with no rubbing problems on a lowered TT?????

5/100 and 17x8.5 will fit. And 235/40/F tires will "probably"`fit even lowered & 245/35/R
