Default Oh thats what that is?! I though it was...

the shmutz I put on the tires to make it look shiney being deposited on the fenders Why is there cosmoline in the inner fender liners? I cant think of a benefit.

Is that what the stuff is?! Everytime I wash the car..I wonder where that stuff is coming from....

Default If you are talking about the *ooze* from behind the back 1/4 panel seam...

then I have all but determined that this is not cosmoline (et least on my car anyway)

When I was painting my calipers I cleaned the back of the wheels as well as the inner fender liner, I have determined that the *ooze* is nothing more than tire dressing. I know Cosmoline and this is not what mine was. I cleaned it out with Simple Green and have not had the problem until I dressed up my tires again

Somthing to think about

That is EXACTLY what I though it was. I cant think of one reason to put cosmoline back there.
