Ive got a 19mm rear on and a 22mm front sitting in the garage. shouldnt i have a bigger rear sway to create less understeer? even though our cars are essentially fwd cars. Ive gotten mixed answers when i asked some local audi forum guys that track alot.

Default The rear bar will....>

reduce understeer quite a bit. Adding the front will put some back in, but result in much flatter cornering and more of a "Point and shoot" feel, especially in combination with Defcons.. I had the 22/19 set-up on my car and it was pretty aggressive. Study the Chassis tuning chart at the link..

http://www.rogerkrausracing.com/TechSheets/overunder.shtml</a

Default thanks steve, just what i needed to know. what do you think about this set up?

25mm adj rear and 22 mm front? i might try this later on when i do the haldex aswell. ive looked around but not many people seem to go much bigger than 22 on the rear.

Default I'd stay away from a huge rear bar....>

Unless you really like Oversteer. More is not always better like on that "other" forum...:-) I had the haldex too, along with original MK1 arms (Defcon 3 equivalent). with the 22/19 the car was nicely balanced running equal tire pressures front and rear. The 22 addition made it harsher too. Keep a ratio front to rear on the bars. Chassis ballance is the key..

Default I get nice even 4-wheel drift with 19 mm rear, stock front, DEFCON 1, Haldex blue, and

KW v2 coilovers.

Default agree

my car is very neautral (on throttle and off throttle and underbraking) with defcons, 19mm rear, and KW V3's.

IMHO, a thicker front bar isn't needed.

can't wait to get the Blue HPP
