Default Having the stock 225 exhaust installed this weekend on my 180.. Any advice

I should know. Thanks to the board here, I located a used one for $150. I polished and repainted it. Looks brand new! Looked at the old posts. A ton of them. Got the valence back after two paintings. Now the right color. I read about the valence holes sometimes not lining up with the exhaust pipes, never thought of that. Is the valence a bear to remove and get back on with the same clips? Should take the valence along to make sure so my custom muffler man can make it work? I am very excited to see my 180 soon sport two pipes instead of the lonely one.

Default Laurie...should not be a problem....>>

The biggest issue with Tip alignment is because aftermarket exhausts are 2 piece. The one piece nature of the stock exhaust eliminates these
issues you've read about. There is a hanger on the passenger side rear which is necessary that you may need. The one on the drivers side has a little side to side adjustment. Put on your new valence (yes, it is a PITA) and install the exhaust with that in place. There should be no surprises.

Default Steve pretty much covered the tech part for you....

Once you have the 180 system off it should be realy easy to remove the 180 valance. The clips that hold this are molded in. Once the muffler is out of the way you can see how it is held in. At this time go ahead and install the 225 valance. It helps to be able to press from both sides during the install. Only other thing I can think of is that your installer will need to make or use an adapter to go from the 180 cat outlet to the bigger 225 pipe. Should look very nice when you have it finished.

Later, INTT

Default You will need an adaptor to fit the 225 exhaust to the Y pipe coming off the 180's
