Rain-X DE-icer WWFluid in gal. size to -25 deg. see at rainx.com there not the same.

Right ,but that's the fluid additive, don't you think it's different than the spray on.

Weird -- after I wipe off the car real good, my hands are sticky from the residue >>>

on the rag. Fluid smells but not like rubbing alcohol - and has a white look to it. Anyway I'm going to drain it and refill with a water /windex solution. Owner's man states its OK

Could it be that someone put radiator fluid in the windshield reservoir?

I'm 99,9% its the same stuff, If you really want to know email me and I can ask someone that will

know for sure. I'm almost sure the only difference is the additive is more concentrated.

I had the same problem - its the dealers fault...

They put winder washer concentrate and forgot to dilute it (they said that the cars were delivered to them that way). It ends up turning into an oily/gooey substance which needs to be power washed off the windscreen and drained out of the tank. The dealer took my car and they flushed the windscreen washer fluid tank with hot water, jet washed the windshield and replaced the wipers.

Everything is fine now although I had to suffer with an Ultima loaner for a couple of days.

I thought you should avoid the Rain-X for windshield on the painted surface of your car...

If they are the same, then I'd hate to put that stuff in the washer fluid tank.

It's exactly as he described his problem. I think the dealer never filled up the reservoir and that's why after using the washers only 7 or 8 times my low fluid light came on. Going out to try to resolve by myself now. If I can't then it's off to the dealer I go.
