Default help?

I just got my TT back from the shop , a long ordeal, two months in the shop, replaced valves, gaskets etc. all becuase of a water pump installation gone wrong. It was so serious the att. gen. was involved. Well I just VAG-COM ed because my check engine light was on and it gave me the code that my crank timing was off. I have only drove the car about 50 miles... and I want nothing to do with that last garage I brought it too... so i have to go directly to the dealer to fix it once and for all. Anyone have opinions on any serious damage that may have occured? car stil drives good... less power olbviously. and what will this cost? Thanks.

Default Yikes, if it's just off one tooth (maybe 2) no damage should occur.

In any case, I would not drive it like that. If the tensioner is not in there right, and not keeping the belt tight, it might slip more...and then you would be looking at major damage.

As far as cost goes, I wouldn't expect any nice suprises from a dealership. They will probably hit you with the same labor charges as changing the belt. Which, I would guess, would be close to $500.
