Help!!!!! Did timing belt but its one tooth off. Any ideas how to get it right

Default You don't have to. As long as the bolt is long enough(50mm will do)...

Thread a nut onto the bolt all the way down to the head. Next, slide the washer on. Then, hold the washer up against the nut, and thread the bolt into the tensioner as described in Bentley, etc. (you only need to thread it in several turns) Next, use a box wrench to tighten the nut and put pressure on the roller. A ratcheting box wrench REALLY comes in handy, but it can be done without.

Default The toughest part will be getting the new(tight) belt back on. Make sure you compress the..

....tensioner enough, without over-compressing it!

Default Belt is already on...>

It's off by one tooth at the bottom Crank sprocket. It was easy until that point. I dont think he will have to remove the belt again. So I hope!! What a bitch of a project!!!!!

Default In order to move the belt by one tooth, it needs to be taken off at least 1 sprocket.

Even you just slide it off and back on.... the belt will still be pretty tight, because it's new. So getting it back on (onto that sprocket) might be a PITA.
