Default Hitting reset button alone will not cause loss of data...only a "hard reset"

will cause loss of data.

To perform a hard reset you hold down the reset button and hold down the power button for 3 seconds until the display changes to "Reset? All data will be lost Y or N?"

A soft reset will probably do it. But you have an offending application and you must find that, too.

Default Yell something like "I WILL NOT ALLOW TECHNOLOGY TO IMMOBILIZE ME, DAMMITT!!!"

and then throw it down an elevator shaft or go to the zoo and see if you can get the elephant guy to get Jumbo to sit on it or something...

Oh, sorry, by "HELP!!!," you meant help recover info, not seek a catharsis? ;-)

Default Crisis Ended...Thanks for the "soft reset" info...Been using a Palm for YEARS and have never had a

frozen screen....Losing that info would have been hellish...

Synched again...LOL

Default How often do you sync the Palm if performing a hard reset would

have been hellish?

When I used mine on a daily basis I also sync'd on a daily basis. Takes only about 30 seconds to a minute. Good habit to get into.

Default By "soft reset" do you mean you went with the...

elephant-*** solution instead of the elevator shaft? TIA - these things are always good to know, incase I ever have to have a digital assistant and he/she fails me... ;-)
