Help, please... Creaking sound from rear wheels/suspensions over bumps...
I have a horrible creaking sound coming from the rear of my TT - pretty sure it's a result of the many f*cking potholes in Manhattan. Creaking sound is worst when going over small bumps at low speed like speed bumps in parking lots.
Two questions:
1) Any ideas exactly what this might be?
2) Please God, is it covered under warranty?
Just wanted to have an idea of what I'm looking at before I take it in to the dealer.
Thanks.

I'm a bit paranoid about rear suspension noises since I read this stuff about suspension failures.
It applies to quattro TT built up to March 2000. It is likely that it does not apply to your car since the very first batch of roadsters to come to the US were built in March 2000. We have one and are still waiting to hear from Audi of America on the recall. My dealer know nothing yet.

UK Forum article from September 26

Weird...I posted abt. something like this a while ago..
No clues or similar experiences....I'm post-rear suspension recall so who knows.
Anyways, post when you find out what's going on....btw, as you can tell from the sig, shock/spring's are different on my car, and sounds started after raising the car back up.
