Help Replacing OilPan....
Has anyone removed the oilpan...I've got a stripped drail plug that I need to tap and was wondering how much of a job it is to drop the pan. In anything in the way that will need to be taken off? Tahnks for the help!

you will need to...
remove 3 16MM (right, 16 mm) bolts from the tranny that goes into the pan, the oil pick-up tube from the turbo inlet, and about 20 10 MM bolts around the perimeter of the pan itself.
Useful tools will be:
10 mm socket.
5 mm Ball-end allen wrench. (pan bolts are 10 mm on the outside, 5 mm on the inside, you may need to use *both* tools to get them out.
6 or 7 mm Allen head 3/8" socket ends.
(The bolts from the engine to the tranny have socket heads also.)
Good ratchet handle.
Afew different 3/8" shaft extenders.
16 mm LONG socket (yes again I said 16- it's an odd size I know.)
A tube of "blue" gasket sealer. There is no pan gasket.
Something to scrape off the old gasket at the bottom of the engine.
2 jacks, and 2 jack stands.
you will need to disconnect the Oil Level Sender, and remove it from the old pan, replace it.
You do not need any gasket sealer on this, it has an integral rubber gasket on it.
The oil pick up tube on the turbo inlet has a *metal* gasket. Note it's orientation when you remove it.
Hey, this is always a good excuse to but new tools!
