Hey All You 225 TT Guys
Can I ask you a question of why are alot of you selling your current 225 HP TT for a new 04 3.2? I mean for power wise wouldnt the 225 with a chip be faster and lighter possibly than the 3.2? I'm just wondering why like alot of TT guys are selling their current TT's for the new ones...thanks bro.

I agree....
my MTM 225 is probably quicker than the new 3.2, but I think some people are influenced by the smoothness and sound of the new VR6 and maybe some are curious about the new DSG tranny. As far as suspension and brakes the new car seems to have better equipment.
There is no doubt that a 225 with chip, exhaust, FMIC, suspension mods, and better brakes will be superior in performance to the 3.2, but then that will raise the price of the 225 considerably.

Most are getting out of leases...so that is an easy answer...others not sure.>>
as i would have to agree with ya....
although if you figure what you paid for the car and the mods you noted, you are under 5k in mods.....considering they are all paying MSRP, i am not so sure who is getting the best deal.;^)

Real world theories ....
1. as far as the 225 TT is concerned its a great ride and lots of fun to be able to play with the turbo. If you are planning stage3 then grab a 180 quattro, if you're planning to lightly mod your TT, then grab a 225. Both choices are very sound no doubt, but then again you're modifying it and depending on the dealer, chances are they won't like it.
2. the 3.2 TT on the other hand is a superb looking version of the TT, which is newer, crispier due to being N/A + DSG and you don't really have to modify it (not that you could do much). Here you have a coupe which is the whole package, without having to make it go faster as we love doing to the 1.8T. Basically what i'm trying to say is that you have a sweet ride out of the box, which i think peeps would rather keep under warranty and enjoy
my 2 cents

Hey Parapatherappa
How much power do you get out of a stage 3 180HP TT? I know some of the bigger turbo kit's for the 225TT version can get in the low 300's. How much more power do you get with Stage 3? And is there a Stage 3 for the 225? Thanks.
