hey guys, need some advice on the TT
I've been around for 2-3 years on this forum, mostly b5 s4, b6 s4 and the d3 a8L. Looking to add a TT for my sister and just had questions on safety, handling in the rain/snow, durability etc. Any information regarding TT's, problems they have etc. Thanks

If you've had an Audi before, The TTs don't seem to have fallen far from the family tree.
Having said that, there are absolutely no safety issues with the car. It handles very well in adverse conditions if you get the quattro, and the newer you can afford the better since most of the bugs were worked out in subsequent production years.
Good luck!

Awesome in all weather!
I had my 2001 225HP TT Quattro Coupe for 4 years. I drove it all years in all weather conditions. In the dead of winter through the mountains, in the heavy rains, the dry, and everything in between.
While driving in the winter I used studless Bridegestone snow tires on 17 inch wheels. I had great traction on both ice and snow. The only exceptions were deep snow and deep slush. In deep show the car would bottom out. In deep slush it had trouble getting solid traction. That would occur on any car. Even in these harsh conditions the TT was always well composed, gave great feedback and I never was surprised at what it did.
As with any car, it's umportant to have the proper traction tires for the desired environment. Beyond that, I cannot say enough good about the TT. In fact, after 2 months of owning a 2005 S4, I traded it in and bought my 2nd TT. If that doesn't say I believe it the car, I don't know what does.
