Hey Jacksonville -- looks like I'm due to move into your area
by the end of the year. Anyone have any info on the area and the housing market to the North -- I'm actually transferring to the St. Mary's, GA area.

Thanks for the heads up. :) Email me specifics. I have a colleage that just bought a home in St.
Mary's. I am in Jacksonville proper. St. Mary's and Jax are 45 miles and worlds apart.

Already am a Jaguar fan. I particularly like the Type S :o) Will e-mail
specifics as I get them myself. I'm also probably looking to travel down the last couple weeks in September to do a little house hunting. Need to decide if I should think FL or GA. Thanks Ivan!

Consider living in Jax
I lived on the north side of Jax and commuted to NSB KB when I was stationed there. It can take almost as long to get to work here (for a 8 mi commute on I-880 in Silicon Valley)
Amelia Island is also worth considering (I've lived there twice, too)

Yeah I'm thinking about that -- my commute here in DC
is horrible - takes 2.5 hours to get home from only 30 miles away. I am looking forward to not dealing with traffic. How long was your commute from Amelia Island to KB? Mapquest says its over an hour!
