haven't done much playing around, still have to break in the clutch. Total labor time, 6.90 hours, total cost $660!, which included about $150 of misc parts - bearings, seal, drive gear, o-rings and fluid. I'm ok on the money for the misc stuff - they were more than fair on the labor.
This is my Quafe limited slip diff, sachs power clutch and autotech 10# lightweight steel flywheel for those not familiar with this train of posts; also, no flywheel chatter, which was a concern going in.
One thing of curious note, the clutch pedal takes zero effort to depress now - a surprise that does take real getting used to, but 'normal' (wasn't sure at first, but called Autotech also to confirm).

Unbelievably good deal >
this shop is a real find, in spite of the fact that they're an hour and a half away - had a stage III apr in too, which I'd never seen up close; clearly qualified people.

I was pretty sure it would be too >
the hourly cost was much less than I'd expected, as was the total time - would have been easy to end up somewhere less qualified and pay twice as much.
Best thing is, I got their name from someone at a local Audi group gtg.

http://www.prestige-tuning.com/aboutus.html</a

yeah, and right - I got a good primer on what to expect >
with different driving conditions; the guy doing the work has done quite a few - I got the impression well over a dozen - and knew all about assembly, tolerance checking, disassembly to install the shims, etc., so no time wasted - I really am impressed.

I just had my clutch replaced. The pedal was light as a feather but as I broke in the clutch it returned to normal.. by 500mi it was back to oem feel.

thanks for the input >
autotech said it was normal, and might or might not get stiffer; as soon as I adjust to it, it's so much easier in traffic I'll be disappointed when it stiffens up!
