Default Hey TTschwing - we talked probably 2 years ago now, but I completed that CF project

Made an overlay set of carbon fibre trim for my S4 in my basement. I have more pics if you want, but here are two good ones....I have a carbon TT shift **** in the works, but its the first one so it might be a little off. Just wanted to show you I wasnt kidding ;-)

Default Very nice work!

Did you just laminate the stock parts? Use a vacuum bagger? Very professional!

Default thanks!

its an overlay so I layed 1 layer of CF over the stock parts after I sanded them down sufficiently so that the final thickness is the same.

I started making molds and I actually got 3 good ones done in fiberglass but without vacuumbagging the parts wernt coming out that well. i didnt have a huge budget for this either.

Default Excellent...>

I know what a PITA it is to do that! I'm gonna dabble in moldmaking shortly, but with poured silicone....Very slick process. I've got a bagger, so I should be able to get some quality parts out hopefully.....

Default Front splitter.....>

Foam core CF covered.. Hope it works! Silicone to make the mold is a little$$, but very easy to work with. Hardens to about an 80 durometer (like poly) and requires no release agent or mold waxing.... Fingers crossed!
