Default Hi guys! Today's problem. I had an APR stock/93 chip installed on my 200 180CQ at TT-East...>

I had the stock DV and exhaust along with a K&N filter (which is a month old). At 4300 rpm, the car takes a nose dive. after recovering power is not there.

Today, I installed a Forge 007 DV (thanks Bryan at TT-Stuff). the car pull strong in 1st and 2nd all the way to 65K. However, in 3rd, and 4th (because I ran out of road), It pulled hard until 5000rpms then leveled off like the stock DV.

could it be the intake hose collapsing, the MAF, the stock exhaust, or a combo of all?

Thanks,

-Robert

Default If you're running it up through the gears....>>>

You're probably heat soaking things. As you excercise the turbo hard, heat continues to build. The single SM intercooler can only scrub off so much heat. Higher temps registered at the manifold will dial back timing and flatten out the power curve...Check the chart above to see the impact. Every 10 degrees F (and the differences above are 85 degrees) , results in about a 1% loss in power. Think FMIC!

Default I have exactly the same prob. If I go easier, I actually get better performance

same car, btw. They don't make an intake hose for us yet, i have the 007 and the race n75 and GIAC software that VAG says is pushing 29psi all the way up through the rev range. but it flattens out at about 4k when pushing hard.

that fmic sounds like a good idea.

Default Thanks, Steve. I sorta thought of that but it was doing it but not as bad...

when everything was stock. I just thought that the exhaust was building up too much back pressure.
