High performance driving class this week - GREAT! (OT)
Thought some of you might like to know that this week I was able to spend time at Bob Bondurant's High Performance Driving School in Phoenix -what a blast!
The event was a company perk and lasted 6 hours. During that time 100 of us were able to experience Auto-X, track time with nice twisties :-), a braking segment, and cone driving.
Gotta tell ya, the Mustang 5.0 held very well on the track and the Auto-X. I have got to get the TT out there...
I have never really driven THAT aggressively; the course allows for a great deal of aggressiveness and I have a feeling that driving my TT will never be the same again. Oversteer? Now, I get it. Understeer, have now felt it. Apex? I now understand. Smooth versus choopy steering? Better times and more fun.
As far as company meetings, this was the best. While others were learning how to bake French pastry, floating down a drity river, and getting massages, I was DRIVING - and better than ever.
To all of you (Larry, Jenner, Colonel, Jason, etc.), I want more! You folks are onto something very good!<p><a href=mailto:"azsyno@aol.com"><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/sigred2jpg.jpg"

High performance driving school "meetings", eh? Holy boondoggle, Batman!...
Our meetings consist of eating soggy sandwiches and listening to some annuity or mutual fund wholesaler rant for an hour as to why his/her product is the best. I am thoroughly disgusted (jealous). Perhaps we are buying too much orange juice?
