Default Hmmmm. H&R replacement springs tested (against my better judgement).

With turbo wailing an unkind chorus (fresh K03 in the mail from APR/TAS...fingers crossed) I took the new H&R rear spring assembly for a whirl.

Stiff...not nearly so progressive as previous version. Much more car bounce...these are indeed full blown race springs. Did not want to press my luck so test was short. Wish I had more to offer.

Upper height adjustment range much greater. Lowering height adjustment to match front with .25-.5" wedge is to the thickness of the adjustment wrench (almost completely screwed into reciever).

Definately will be testing more b/4 I send first set back to H&R. Cliff, Brad and others...interested in your impressions. My car will be down until mid-week next (Wednesday: K03 transplant, driver headlight washer replacement and cigar lighter repaired/replaced).

Sounds like you think the orginal set up is superior--except for the "pots and pans" noise

Default Thanks for the comments...

My springs just came in, so I'll have the swap done, but no final adjustment just yet. Though my coilovers do seem to have loosened up a bit with time and miles, I'm not looking for stiffer. Appreciate the info, and hopefully I can pop these in later this week.
