Holy Depreciation Disasters Batman!
The dealership I took my car to just called back.... They recinded the $28500 offer for trade and said the best they could do is $23500. They had told me the first price wasn't firm and were going to try to get me a better one! That was not a better price! I have a 225 TT Quattro Coupe, premium, and bose 10600 miles. That is soooo wrong. A search on autotrader.com shows many similar mileage TT's selling for $35000 or so retail. Guess I won't be selling the car, at this rate the car will be worth 10K when the warrantee expires.

Looked at the IS300 and WRX
I need a 4 door. I used to have an A4, I loved it but I don't like the new body style. I own my car outright and was not wanting to throw much money into a new car. I don't HAVE to get a new car, but it would be helpful to my family.
I am also posting this experience for the education of those who might be buying a 2001 or 2002. To see the massive depreciation hit should give them leverage against paying over invoice. 10000 miles is a normal amount of miles for a 1 model year old car. If they are offering me $23500 why should you need to pay 38,000 for an in-dash CD.
