How to clean an intercooler?
I've recently aquired a used Forge front mount intercooler. I have yet to install it. It is in perfect condition, however you can tell on the core that it has seen some mileage (dirt, grime..etc). Does anyone know what to use to clean the core with? Perhaps a degreaser (safe?).
Also anyone know what would be a good way to polish the core? What to use..etc.
Thanks in advance!
Mario.

Mothers aluminum polish
or equivalent works very well on it. you can just hit it with a tshirt or if you want it shinier, a cottom wheel and drill, with the Mothers. Forge says it is anodized, but it looks to be a very slight amount. my core polished super easy and the tanks shined up pretty well. i didn't want to do a FULL polish with sanding, 'cause then i'd be down there every week and not want to drive in the rain

That's a take off clean (1yr perhaps?) what about regular clean
or is this the best way to clean it? I didn't do this when I swapped from Moses's car and probably should seeing as this was one of the early FMICs
