I can't find the thread but there is no special tool involved...
the connecter is just a pain in the @$$ to remove. You can practice on how to remove it with the connecter just behind the coolant bottle. Same concept. I don't know if it does anything but I took the gas cap off for a while first to let any pressure out of the system. Once you get comfortable with the connecter topside it is time to do it on your back and blind!!! good luck. Don't break the connecter
