Default HOW TO: How do you guys get rid of wheels?

As many of you know, we had three Audi A4's, a couple Porsches, etc. Now, we have two A4's and a TT 180Q with a TT 225Q on order for the Audi side of the stable (and we may be in the process of getting rid of the A4's).

The A4 has a different bolt pattern from the TT, so the many (half a dozen or so) sets of A4 wheels not on the cars are useless to the TT owner. Some are new, some are used, all are a drain on garage space. The only thing I can think to do is give them away, since we have two cars coming in during the next few months and nowhere to put even ONE car given the current stacks of wheels and tires.

I'd like to get our coupe inventory at two Audi's (180Q & 225Q) and two Porsches (RS & Turbo) with two sets of wheels for each coupe (eight sets total), and we're on our way toward that goal.

Just curious what most people did with their A4 wheels when they became TT'ers... gave them away on the Off-Topic forum, probably...

Sick of having wheels sitting around,
Cameron

Default Trying to sell them for at least a few $$$s

Still have a leftover set of MSW Type 45's from the Corrado, and 4 16" OEM A4 tires (the Dunlop 8000's) that are basically new. I've been placing ads here at work for a week or so now, as I got tired of these things taking up space...and I might actually get something back on them.

Heh, if someone is reading this who needs 16" 205/55ZR16 Dunlop 8000's... I'm selling that set of 4 for $200 in the DC local area. About 600 miles on the set (the break in period of the A4 that they came on), and they've been kept inside in a dark place since.

If the classifieds and Wheel & Tire forum are all busts, drop a note in the Racing forum. With spring almost in the air, there's bound to be somebody looking for an extra set of race wheels.....
