Default Does not work. I have tried using second key...

to manually lock doors and to lock them with the lock button while the car is running. It did not work on my 2002 225 TTQC, nor did it work on my 2000 180 TTQC.

1) Park in heated garage. 2) Use remote to lock. HTH! HAND!

Default Yup...

Up here in Tok, Alaska it gets wicked cold so checking the mail, getting groceries & even eating at the (only) restaurant while it's in the negatives is smarter than turning the car off. But usually there's a place to plug in your car nearby. If not, you have to leave it on unless it might not start, and if it does start your probably doing more damage anyway.

But what I do is put the valet key (not the plastic one though) in the door and turn it to the right while the car is running. The little red lights will start to flash as normal and there you have it. You can't lock it with the other flip out key fob, again unless you lock it manually.

I've noticed my car sputters for the first 2-3 miles every morning now that it's cold. Is that bad?
