Default How long does a full Zainoing take?...

I bought the following products: Z1, Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z18. I'm wondering approximately how long the entire process is.

Default As with everything different people do.... it depends...

How bad do you think your car needs the whole treatment?
Full clay bar, up to multi-coats of "Z"?

If you want to skip the clay bar, start with the de-greaser wash.
That usually takes me at least an hour.
Z1 apply, no problem, leave it on the car.
Z2 to start. Here it's gonna depend on the atmosphere. If it's humid, it'll take longer to dry, hence longer total time.
Z5 -Same thing.

Those are the basics I'd do if you don't think your car needs a full clay bar.
If you want to do clay bar, expect that could take about another hour.

totoal time could be 4-5 hours.

Default The "wild card" is humidity and drying time for Z2/Z5.

The application and pre wash is pretty quick (maybe an hour or so for the wash and Z1). The time issue pops up when waiting for coats of Z2/5 to dry before removal. I've had drying times from between 45-60 minutes to 2+ hours. If you are applying multiple coats (which is highly recomended) you have to wait for each coat to dry.

I block out at least 3 hours and have taken as long as 7. It's worth it.

Default The Full Zaino. Wasn't that a movie about British guys taking their clothes off?

:-)

Question is, do you buff in the buff? :-))

Default First full Zaino - about 6 hours - then about 1.5 hours every other week. However, YMMV.

See link to Larry's Zaino recipe below. It's what I have used with great success, I could not be happier with the results. The only diff is that I Zaino about every other week, sometimes every third week. No offense to Larry, but every week is just too much IMO.

How do I use Zaino?

Default With the clay bar (Z18), mine took about 3 1/2 hours

Wash, Z18, rinse, dry (with waterblade assist), Z1, Z5, air dry (approximately half hour, during which time I did the interior and wheels/tires), buff and Z6. Of course, my Lake Silver will probably go faster than BB ; ). Next Z5 this weekend, then on to Z2!
