Default How much should I shoot for this TT?

2001 TT 225 silver on grey, quattro, 6spd, fully loaded, 16k miles, certified with 6yr/100k warranty. Sticker is $26k, I have a trade-in. What should be a fair price? Thanks in advance!!

Default that's a good price

i paid $28k for a similiar car a year ago. you should be able to land it for $24k ($23k if you are very aggressive) if the sticker is $26k. It's good that it's certified. try to get a bit extra on the trade as well.

Default I would highly suggest a certified car as you will feel better...

I wish I bought certified because repairs can be very costly. BUT, since the TT is the most fun car ever...I still push it and have fun.

Default i myself prefer a non-certified car

if you plan on modding that is- knownig how dealers are- a ttda will end up voiding your engine warranty- granted it may not be legal, but it's more trouble that somepeople are willing to deal with to take them to court=)

Default who have a good point...

I have never had a car with real issues...I worry that something could go wrong with my TT at any moment and I do not have a warranty...IT would suck more if I had a warranty and it was voided because of a chip or TTDA....I guess I should stop worrying and mod away!

That is a good price. I got a 2001, quatro, 185 for 19k. It had 45,000 mi. LOOK closely at everything!!!! Request the paperwork for the "certification". The certification requires the dealer to fix scratches, etc.
I have already filed a complaint with the NY Attorney General concerning some of the poor sales tactics of the dealer. Go online to http://1.8t.org/dealers/. This will rate dealers and service.

Default Keep in mind your location........

Where you live can have a effect on what you can buy that car for. You should be able to buy that car for around $22-$23k and it does cost the dealer $800-$1000 to certify the car. Even if you don't want the warranty - it is nice to know the car has been gone through and had a thorough inspection by a certified audi tech. Good luck!
