Hyperboost HX Install
I ordered a Hyperboost HX diverter valve from Stratmosphere on Saturday, and brown came through yesterday. Since today is Veteran's Day and I work for a bank, I have some free time.
This is an easy mod, I dropped my daughter at school at 8:20 and by 9:00 I was putting my tools away.
There are two PITAs here.
The first is getting the clamps off the OEM dv. I did a lot of searches on various forums so I anticipated this. With some patience and a little blood, I finally had the clamps free and the OEM valve removed.
Installing the new valve was easy. Stratmosphere includes two large and one small clamp, but I was able to reuse the large lower clamp. A little soapy water on the hoses and it slipped on fairly easily.
The second PITA is tightening the lower clamp. I used a 1/4 ratchet and socket, and was basically able to advance the clamp screw 2 "clicks" at a time. So again, patience prevails here.
The test drive was very nice! The turbo lag during hard accels through the gears is basically gone, no waiting for the "surge" anymore, just a smooth delivery of power!
Definately a great mod, and one that anyone can do. I'm including a link to Forge's install instructions, with great pictures.

forge clicky

fast install...takes longer to get the tools and put them away.
