Default I am driving this POS while my TT is in the garage being worked on

My TT is in the garage and will be getting new tie rod ends, strut bushings, possibly dogbone and lca bushings also. While the TT is out, I am being loaned this car:
<img src="http://www.edmunds.com/media/roadtests/roadtest/02.mercedes.c230/02.mercedesbenz.c230coupe.r34.500.jpg">

This is the model with a 2.3 liter supercharged engine. Almost everything about this car is crap. The engine is very course and loud, almost diesel-like in sound and Its not that fast. Car feels really heavy and doesnt handle that great for a RWD. The tranny is not smooth. The interior is just cheap badly designed. And this car was priced new in the low $30k? Seems like MB sold a ton of these C class cars though..

Default Our C230 SSk sedan is a much better drive than the coupes IMO.

The engine is a bit loud when making power, but the chassis turns in nicely, probably due to the 17x8.5 rims on the aft end. We are not disappointed, although I could use a bit more torque.

Ours is an 05, near the end of the run for the W204 bodies. Wife really likes it, and it's not a bad touring sedan.

The coupes, OTOH, suk.

I think you have the newer 1.9 liter engine that is more refined..

Default just like any other loaner, how beat has it been?

mine seems to stand the test, and far more reliable then the TT as a daily driver.

Ofcourse, it is a "throw away" MB.

Mine is a quiet engine, turns when I want it, doesn't step out in the snow. Honestly, can't complain about it, (for what I paid for it... which wasn't much).
