I have the dreaded random misfire any cylinder 16684 code. Also previously...
had 16500,16688 ,18010. I changed the coolant temp sensor & now I'm just getting 16684.Search seems to indicate a bad vacuum line, sparkplugs or coilpaks. Is it likely all the coilpaks would fail at once?Had a flashing CEL about 10 secs at first & now a steady one.Car breaks up slightly at high speed. Starts & runs OK in general. All opinions appreciated.

Had the dreaded flashing CEL with random misfire codes, just one coil pack.....
but I have since replaced them all. You will also get the sewer/septic type smell which occurs when the unburnt gas flows into the cat.

Yeah, that was pretty crazy, but it saved your weekend!
I had a great time and I hope you enjoyed the event as much as I did. Maybe next time you won't get stuck with a rookie instructor
