Default I just bought a '00 180 non-quattro, have a few questions.

Hi All,

My wife and I just bought her a 2000 180 non-quattro. It's black/black with 55k miles. I've always been a Porsche guy, but a huge TT fan, so I'm not too familiar with it. It has some miles on it, what type of service should we be expecting to do on it in the near future? Are there any known issues that we should look out for?

It doesn't have the cd changer. Where is the best place to buy one? Is it the same as used in newer VW's or a commonly available model, or is it specific to Audi or the TT itself?

Thanks in advance for the help, we're looking forward to ejoying our beautiful new toy.

Regards,

--Josh

Default 180 FWD here. No big problems but...

Many of us have replaced our OEM Divertor valves & MAF's. Relatively inexpensive parts you can do yourself. Some w/ FWD have had tranny problems & w/55K you should probably have your brakes looked at. You can do a search for more info on these subjects. They've been beat to death here. Best of luck with the car.

Default I believe the changer is a widely-available Panasonic unit

but Clairparts definitely has it.

Default CD Changer

It is available at crutchfield and then you must buy the bracket to bolt it down directly from audi for about $40. I will check the model number and let you know tomorrow. It only took me about 20-30mins to install.
