Toshiba conceded the HD market to Sony. Glad I bought the cheapest Toshiba HD Player I could find.

Default I own two of them and I'm still fine with that
Got 18 free movies with the 2 units, a decent selection of other movies I purchased and the units are still excellent up-converting players.

But I will be getting a Blu-Ray eventually.

Not really. If you research it, Beta was the better format-- not so for HDVD.
