Default Incorrect brake light bulb introduced problems

I replaced a brake light bulb with an incorrect bulb and created some issues. After putting the wrong bulb in, the A/C 30A fuse blew and the car is now stuttering under load. Replaced the 30A fuse and installed the correct bulb. Still have a stuttering (loss of power) under hard acceleration. Otherwise, drives fine if not driven hard. Any thoughts on what to look for? Thanks!

That's bizarre. When my brake bulb went, I only got the DIS screen warning every time I braked.

I bet one of your vacuum or associated lines developed a leak at the same time and it is giving you the impression it's part of the same fault. Do some 'searching' on that particular problem.

Thanks for the reply. I decided to go ahead and replace plugs & coils and ordered them. The coils arrived and I discovered that my TT has the bolt-on coils and the ones I ordered were push-on so I have to return them. Since I had gone that far, I decided to change the plugs. I pulled the old plugs (previous owner installed or had installed) and found the gap was huge on all 4. I installed new copper Autolite plugs and gapped them at .032. It seems like this fixed the problem but will withhold judgement until I can get some miles on it and get it good and warm. I'm hopeful but wouldn't be surprised if the stutter returns. Will update if something changes. Now I have to tackle the rear wheel speed sensor...I know that one isn't coming out without a fight :-)

LoL... Hate to sound sarcastic, but "Bonding with one's car is good for the soul".

Ha! I am certain I’ll be “bonding” with the wheel speed sensor :-)
