Default Initial information on the "Motorsport" engine upgrade......

Still working toghether everything that will be needed, but costs will be upwards of 7 large.

Would compromise of:

GT2871R or .46 GT30R turbo
Full-Race Tubular Manifold, or similar custom piece. Wastegate etc too
Custom Intake Manifold
Fueling System (inj, pump, fpr etc)
Downpipe
Custom Software

Power levels 350+whp, hopefully spooling really quickly

Any Serious Interest?

Default "Custom Software" by ????????

parts are easy - software and tuning well you know :-)

Spool won't be real quick with either of those turbo's - but then again - i'll take the top end power anyday.

Default Secret. Currently waiting on dyno from tuner, he claims >>>

he has a golf spooling a 2871R at 3200RPM. 25 PSI max boost.

He claims he laid waste to a K16 S4 with GIAC.

Default GT2871R I can imagine ... GT30R?

Have you seen that compressor map?!!?

Airflow information for our 1.8's here

You can do the math...
and at that PSI, you'll probably have to replace internals. And that won't be under 7k

Default Pricing is coming down, working on it. As for spool..... check this>>>

Near identical spool. Frankie was running ghetto rigged K03 software, Wolks was running APR 28RS software IIRC

Clicky

Default And both of their spools were in 4.6k range

"I've decreased the lag on that run too, turbo spools about 400RPM sooner, roughly 4600RPM. I just had to crank up the ramp on the boost controller. High ramping of the boost was causing surging at low PSI levels. At 22psi it doesn't surge."

This is great for drag racing! Street driving.. i would hate to be needing 4.7k to get that kind of boost.

So your power range is from 4.7k ->7.5k?

In all honesty, I really like the K04's size turbos... they do their job well and for me, living in LA with its AWESOME traffic, i'm spending more of my time pre-4k RPM then post-4k.

I think the 4.6 was on a later turbo. I talked to Frankie, and on that chart, its 4k.

Default Hmm... i don't think so. His dyno was refering to his GT30R with .43 Exhaust Housing

Look at two post above the link i posted.

Look at the compressor map and the link to the airflow I sent you. 4.6k for GT30R is right @24psi.

Also, more boost != more power.

I think you're approaching this all wrong. Those guys at the 'tex have lightweight vehicles that are fast. Lightweight is one thing the TT is not.

Default no internal upgrades?

i can turn my boost right upto 28psi, but I limit myself to 22psi cause I am on stock internals... I would have thought if they aimed for 350whp (more than 400crank) they would up internals as well..
