instructions + difficulty in removing front seats?
#2
Easy. Couple bolts front and rear, pops right out. If I recall, you don't
have to slide it out like on some cars, the seat comes out with the rails, I think. Regardless, it's obvious once you take out the major visible bolts.

I was also told by Jeff Bipes to be very careful uncoupling the side-airbag connector
(it's under the seat) Don't want to set it off. Jeff said Audi has a special device they use to temporarily disable the airbag; but it may be overkill - probably sufficient to just have the ignition off, but be carefull you don't break the connector.

Couple things...
I'm sorry, I was assuming you were just removing the seat partially, to put in a schrothe harness (that's why i did it) or something. Yes you need to be careful of the airbag connector, although not overly. You just don't want to short that sucker. wrap it in electrical tape or something while you have is disconnected. The adapter he refers to is just a 5ohm resistor to make the computer think the seat is still there. If you want to go that route, or if you are replacing the seat altogether and need to prevent the airbag light from coming on, pick on up at the electronics store and connect to the car side of the connector.
