Invisible Bra

Invisible Bra
Will soon take delivery on my silver TT roadster and was wondering whether I should get the invisible bra. Hate chipped paint, but don't like that line across the hood much either. Does it really work? Does it yellow over time?
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks.<p>Jeff

Some logic here...........
Jeff,
I've had the Armourfend guys in Greenwich install a couple of pieces of the 3M material on my 99.5 1.8t. I have absolutely no paint chips on the front of my car. Yes, it does what it's supposed to do. I've seen cars that have had the film on for over two years and there is no discoloration.
If you have the film applied to the front end of your TT, you WILL have a sometimes sightly line going across your hood. That is a fact.
If you have the film applied to the front end of your TT, you WILL NOT have any paint chips. That is a fact.
Try and find someone (with a TT) that has had the film applied. You SHOULD see the 3M film (applied)in person. Some people like it, some don't. I would recommend having the film applied by a VERY experienced installer.
3m film = Visible line 3m film = No chips
You're answer please!!!

My Audi dealer in Holland reckons I shouldn't put it on for a few months...
...because the paint is soft at the start and could react badly with the film. Just what I needed, somebody to put an element of doubt in my mind!
So, is it safe to apply it from day one or should you wait for a while. Of course if the paint is softer then it's got more opportunities to get chipped?
The dealer may, of course, have had his logic chip removed!

Holland Mike........................
My brand new A4 sat in my garage for almost two weeks, before i was able to get up to Conn., to get my 3m film work done. Total miles on the car (at that time 100 miles). Once you have a rock chip, what's the point of the film?? If the paint is not "good to go" by time of delivery, when will it be?? Exactly when are you supposed to lay a coat of wax on your car?? I started pampering my car, the day i got it.
