I'm not buying that drivel that it looks better in person...cause it is ummm, to my eye at least, seriously "esthetically challenged". The interior, dash and instrument pods especially, looks like a '73 Pinto. No "M" version either. "New" BMW "looks to be floundering".
I'll pass {(it)rather quickly I might add}

It's pretty effective in person...
...but it has some hideous and some beautiful details. It was at the Seattle Auto Show; it looked like there was a longer line for the TT Roadster, honestly. I really like the sharky front end and all the creases on the rest of the car. The side markers are behind the big roundels on the fender panels; I think this looks sort of bad. The car is a very snug fit for me (6'/195lbs) and the interior's design and layout is uninspiring.
I'll bet the six-cylinder is nice, but I'm happy with my TT. I'm glad I didn't wait for the Z4.

Subjective. I'm no design guy but from a subjective point of view
I kind of like it. I actually like the hard line on the side. And I hated the clown shoe Z3 - for me this is a big improvement.
I still hate the rear of the 740i. So there!
