This is the reason we ended up bringing our Mini to TT East. Downpipe is just a bit too short and caused my exhaust to vibrate against the underside at certain rpm's. Very annoying. Putting stock back on till I can fix this so I can go to TT MidWest. I had a Brullen shop do this for me. Couldn't get out without a lot of disassembly or cutting (much faster). Brullen must have welded it together on the car. Getting to the turbo-end nuts wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

could it be because you didn't drop the subframe? I had to drop mine for my 3" dp.

oh ok...I never tried to remove the current downpipe so maybe it will come off w/o subframe removal.
