Default Evo Chip??

Never heard of one on a TT.

Sounds like you should have done a little more research...

Default What year is your car?

You can't just pop a chip in. There is no socket. The stock chip has to be unsoldered, then the new soldered in and the Immobilizer cloned to your car if it's mid 2001 or newer....
It needs to be done by a Giac dealer....And he'll probably charge you big $$ since you didn't buy it from him.

Bad purchase. You can refuse to pay or try to negotiate with the seller. He may do an unpaid strike against you, but that's kinda like a slap on the wrist at Ebay..

The chip has to match your ECU #, right?

Default Did you buy a chip or a complete ECU??

If you got the whole thing and it's the right version, it's well worth it to go ahead and have it matched to your car. Many people have spare ECU's and the're worth more than you paid...
