Default Just bought a 2002 Audi TT Quattro...

Hooked my 2002 Audi TT Quattro to an OBD II reader and it came up with these codes for the engine light. Hopefully you all can help me fix these problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

16684- Random Misfire Detected
16685- Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
16686- Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
17763- Ignition Timing Cylinder 1 Open Circuit
17766- Ignition Timing Cylinder 2 Open Circuit
17978- Engine Control Module Locked
18010- Voltage Supply Terminal 30 Voltage To Low
17072- Main Relay Load Circuit Open Circuit
17544- Long Term Fuel Trim Adaptive (Bank 1) System Too Lean
17832- Bank 1 Secondary Air Injection System Leak Detected
16795- Secondary Air Injection Reaction Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected

My guess is that the misfires are caused by faulty coil packs, but I have no idea where to start.

I would replace the coils and plugs, clear the codes and see how it goes. Often times, the misfire code will lead to lots of other codes due to the engine running poorly.

Agree. Was typing much the same. Gap those plugs to .030. Coil packs don’t like wide gaps. Also check the secondary air pump for missing loose rivets. That’s a common issue. Replacing them with machine screws and nuts to hold the two halves together usually works. The lean code may be a vacuum leak. Look at the hoses around the intake manifold. Especially the small fabric covered one from the end of the manifold to the fuel pressure regulator. A leak there gives inaccurate boost pressure signal to the fuel pressure regulator resulting in a lean fuel mixture.
Good luck! Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum!
