Default just brough my TT to an A/C guy...

the A/C system had two leaks, one in the compressor and one in the expansion valve:
for the overhaul of the compressor(new gaskets and so on...) I was asked for 130EURO (roughly 150 USD):
a new expansion valve will cost as many as 70EURO (roughly 100 USD).
4 hours will be needed to replace all the stuff

I think this will solve the problem forever.
Do you think it is too expensive ?

A leaking expansion valve is -very- rare, but it may happen althoug I never had seen one. Expansion valve is $49(USD), the compressor only (usualy) leaks at the shaft seal, about $15 to $20. 4 hours to disharge, remove, repair, reinstall the compressor and recharge the system is very optimistic.

I suggest also to replace the filter/dryer at this time now that you have the system open (discharged).

Doesn't sound unreasonable to me.... I doubt repair (especially A/C related will last forever
