Default just dropped the car off at roger beasley...

The service writer said my sway-bar problem(creaking) wouldn't be covered under the CPO but ordered a new cluster before a tech even looked at the car. I guess i can compromise for a new cluster. Mine only had a few pixels fading in the corner.

Bring him the tech service bulletin on the swaybar. It should be covered.

Default They did mine under warranty, but >

it may be that's only how they cover it, and after warranty they don't - in spite of the bulletin.

Default Many dealers actually keep clusters in stock, due to the high failure rate.

I imagine they must get a couple a week, depending on the overall repair volume of the shop.

Default My dealer had one in stock for my year/model....

There are 5 different cluster types according to the dealer. Luckily I had my cluster code since I have a VAG COM to check it. I had just the opposite experience with my dealer...they covered the sway bar bushings replacement, but not the cluster. Still might be fighting that with AoA, since others have had success with their claim.

The powerflex bushings are a better fix for the swaybar.

They had mine in stock when I had it done. SURE it's not a known problem....
