just for fun (kinda), anyone have a sound clip of a turbo that is on the way out???

Mine gave no indication through sound that it was on its way out...
At about 5k rpm in 2nd IIRC it went "BANG!" and then "PFOOOF!" followed by a smokescreen that would make James Bond proud. Based on what it cost to repair my car after the turbo went, you definitely want to get it checked out BEFORE it goes.

Usually will smoke before it sounds.
Bearing wear causes the shaft to wobble and wear out the seal, thereby causing smoking at idle and deceleration. My turbo wobbled considerably but the impeller hadn't contacted the housing yet. Believe me, you will hear that when it happens.

well I was getting weird up and downs after adjusting the BM so I turned it back to where I had it
and on the way home something was making a humming like horn noise. Not like the honk from the stock DV but I do have a Greddy in there with about 15K in use. I am going to pull it tomorrow and check the insides. My other thought is maybe starting from 00 with the BM again as I am not 100% where it is right now. It got tweaked and I thought I got it back to where it was but I am unsure now.
