Default just shaved another 16lbs of unsprung weight :-)

kosei k-1s + toyo t1-s wheels/tires are on the car (thanks Doug-ArchiTecT!). total reduction in unsprung weight on the front of the car is now about 21lbs/side (not including the weight savings of bilstein coilover struts). needless to say, the handling is MUCH better than stock.

anyone know how much a bilstein strut weighs and how much a stock strut weighs? maybe the true value is 25lbs/side lighter than stock including the suspension.

at least on the E30M3, Kosei's have a habit of getting loose (loose lug bolts).

You may want to watch out for that for the next couple of weeks.

Otherwise they are great wheels.

fwiw, OEM springs/shocks weigh 50#. My KWV1's weigh 30#, so 10# side for me on that mod.

Default wow...i didn't realize it was that significant...

and from what I recall, bilsteins are lighter than Konis/KWs :-)

so instead of ~25lbs/side lighter, it's going to be closer to 35lbs/side!

Default You could also get a brake upgrade

You could also get brake a upgrade and lose some more lbs with aluminum calipers over the cast iron OEM calipers. 8 lbs per wheel i think.

Default Bilstein struts? Or Bilstein coilovers? I'll believe the coilover is lighter than KW, but not the

strut/spring combo.
