I have yet read or heard of anyone saying "Okay, I have to much power, need to slow down". This has probably been the prime reasons, a few have defected to vehicles. More Power = More Fun, especially in a TT. AoA are you listening?

Default To quote AoA......More Power = More Fun = More Sales = Warranty Void! :(

AoA is not into satisfying their enthusiastic customer base. They are into the bottom line . . . raping and pillaging their customers, figuratively speaking of course

Default well... "TTers who have modded" are probably not the vast majority of owners, though...

if you pick any make/model of car, there is always some percentage of people interested in modifying it in some way, including making it go faster, handle better, look different, etc.
in this subset of owners, I'm sure a large percentage want it to go faster. (after all, how many people complain that their car went too fast?!)

BUT, I suspect that the vast majority of owners of [insert make/model here] are probably reasonably satisfied with the car as it started out, or if not, they aren't willing to spend the time/effort/money to change it.
(take my case - I wouldn't complain if my TT had even more power, but I don't feel that strongly about it and don't want to deal with the potential risks/hassles of chipping it)

I'm sure Audi has plans for future TTs... but they're going to release things in their own time schedule, not ours. TTs are still selling fine so there's no panic to upset the apple cart right away. but eventually, probably we'll see something... (and then someone will STILL want to chip it... so I guess there's no end to the spiral... :-)

Default i get the feeling that no matter how much hp/torque they put out, people will STILL mod ...

... to extract more. i personally don't understand it, but then i have a shoe fetish that many don't understand. :-)
