Key remote functions suddenly not working. Battery OK . . .
The remote functions on my key suddenly stopped working. Replaced the battery, but that didn't help. The key still works in the ignition, though.
Compounding the problem, something has apparently jammed the driver's door lock, and I can't insert the key to try a reinitialization.
Do keys just suddenly fail for no reason (didn't drop it or inadvertently wash it!)?

Sometimes mine needs reset after I replace the battery.............
Push the lock or unlock button on the key fob
Then lock or unlock the door using the key, I guess you'll have to do this on the passenger side.

You may be right about resetting after new battery . . .
Unfortunately, my driver's door lock is jammed (apparently I unknowingly bought it that was as I've never used it before). And I don't think there's a passenger-side lock on '03s and up (mine's an '05). Looks like this will be a dealer issue since my car was sold to me Audi CPO and shouldn't have come with a non-functional lock.
