Default Kinda OT: Weird offer via email from Infiniti...

I got an offer from Infiniti for one of several free gifts, if I come in to test drive one of their turdmobiles: Oregon Scientific Digital Camera, Maui Jim Sunglasses (how now???), or a pair of Advent 900mhz wireless headphones. I'm going to go, just b/c I want a pair of wireless headphones to vacuum with and for when I'm playing pretend pilot and stuff...

My question is, how the hell did they get my email? I've never visited their site, don't care for their interpretation of "design," never been to one of their dealerships, etc... AND the email address is not an address I use often, actually it is specifically for work and other important stuff. I might have given that email for contact info. to Audi Financial? I wonder if Audi sells its lists to other manufacturers?

Did anybody else get this email???

Default actually, I'm sure that is true... in fact,

I'm rather hoping we don't find it all out at once - need time to digest the bits we get and contemplate the meaning...

Default Ok this whip discussion has to end...

ANTENNA whips, for those of you in the gutter. (Including you, Rahul!)

To answer your question, I didn't look to source an antenna mast (I'm calling it a mast now) to replace the stocker. I pondered the possibility of making a hybrid cell antenna setup with a new mast, but without ample research time, I didn't want to pursue it only to not have it work on install day, with a friend driving over to help. I just went with a solution I figured would work, and it does. That and I figured it might look like a springy coat hangar had grown from my roof, which didn't interest me.

I suppose you could find out the thread type of the stock mast, then call Terk or some other antenna mfg. to see if they make a dual-band mast to fit. Thats what I'd do, anyway.
