Default LarryTT and others....I know universal remotes have been discussed on the forum before, BUT

I'd like to ask a few questions...

Is the Pronto TOO MUCH universal remote for a simple home theatre system...ie. My 16x9 HDTV and Sony Surround Sound System...Currently, I need 3 remotes...would love to get down to 1, but if the Pronto is overkill, I'd rather not spend the extra bucks...

Here's a really silly question...WOuld a Pronto be able to recognize the remote for my gas fireplace???

Larry...Where did you get your Pronto? What's the going rate? Just HOW HARD is it to get it all up and running?

Thanks in advance, Kim

Default From the Heat 'N Glo web site ...

"Remotes are Non-Directional and can be operated from anywhere within range."

I would expect this to be RF (radio) not infrared, but I could be wrong.
