Default Lemon: Make Lemonaide with a 350Z or G35

My TT will be going in for another tranny swap and in lieu of this AOA is looking at lemoning the car.

2 trannys in 2 years and less than 30,000 miles. That is rediculous. California lemon law states that if a car needs to be repaired twice for a life threatening problem then it is an automatic lemon.

My question - 350Z or G35?

Default while both are cool cars, that is all they are. It is simple economics

that dictates that the amount of car that you can get for $35K from Nissan, engineers had to cut corners somewhere? I can guarantee you that these cars wont last.

Personally I like the G35 - primarily for a bit more Lux and the added rear seat and storage.

Default Good point but the TT is not exactly a defect free car...

The TT tranny is a VWs and engine is VWs.

Default Yep, but you can almost bank on those two cars

problems rearing their ugly heads soon, but if you were to just lease it for 2-3 years under a FULL warranty, go for it!

Default Actually - the engine is based upon an Audi design and they co-developed

the 02M (quattro trannies) while Audi designed the changes to the failure prone 02J.
