Default I had to pry on mine a little a couple weeks ago, to get my 3 bar back in. I put a screw driver on

the top lip above the clip, and under the vacuum tip on the FPR, and GENTLY pushed up. It came up pretty easily that way.

DO cover the area with a paper towel or something in case some gas squirts out.

Default It was also VERY full of gas, and the new FPR won't go in to a "wet well". It took a ton of paper

towels to suck out the gas. It seemed like I would pull some out, and more would go in (it was more full AFTER sucking some out!). I finally folded the towel, and sucked out fluid from the edge only, and about 5-6 towels later, the whole thing was dry.

It didn't do that the last time I did it, but it did squirt at me last time, so maybe it purged itself...

Default Be gentle! Plus, you shouldn't need the old FPR anymore (though I did, unexpectedly...).

Once you break the fluid seal, it should come out very easily.

Default Dani, I used a flat blade screwdriver and gently pried it loose. As Mike said...>>

fuel is under pressure. Have a rag around the fpr.

Be careful...:-)

I used my palm to press the new one back.

Default take the fuel cap off to let it depressurize for a few minutes and then use

a set of adjustable pliers gently. it won't hurt it....i've done it a few times.

Default Yeah I had that experience too >

You are emptying not only the FPR cup but the entire fuel rail as the residual fuel in the rail drains back into the cup.
