Default Looking for a paint stripper to strip caliper paint...
I need to strip my old caliper paint off before re-painting them this upcoming week. I have heard methyl ethyl ketone is good, but very very toxic. Also, aircraft paint stripper can be used. Anyone know a good stripper to use? Thanks

Default Why strip off the old paint, just rough it up with sandpaper...
(and is this a test for staying on topic? What a set up your last line is, LOL)

Default LOL, actually I am going to be using a lighter color...
They are red right now and I am going to be doing them in silver and I dont any red paint showing through the silver. Any suggestions?

Default light sand on the red, then primer, then silver
striping the old paint will not be worth the PITA factor.

Default Actually, I plan on leaving the calipers on and brush painting them..
so primering them would be pretty tough.

Brush the primer too - or use a "no-sand" product that softens up the old paint.
