Loss of Power Steering

Loss of Power Steering
Most f***** up thing. 550 miles into my TTRQ experience, I have total loss of power steering as I am trying to parallel park the car. I turn off the engine for a minute and the power steering is back -- except for hard turns which feel unusually sluggish and wobbely.
Any suggestions (other than driving straight for the next three years)?

The obvious one: See your dealer pronto.
Could be many things, but most likely is PS pump.
Intermittent operation would cover the problem you describe; could be an electrical problem or mechanical. Either way, the answer is easy: why mess around? Just take it in before you have a bigger problem. Cheers!

It could be low fluid level. Check and refill if necessary, then see dealer.
Fluid demand is maximum at full turn. If fluid level is low, top it off, then turn lock to lock a few times to bleed any air out of the system. Drive slowly while doiong this to decrease loads on the system.
If fluid was down substantially, there's probably a slow leak that dealer should address. if fluid isn't down, I'd try the bleeding anyway.Air in the system could cause the sluggishness.
My $.02
